Dr. Uba Sani CON, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Her Excellency, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe and Distinguish Members of the Kaduna State Executive Council, Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure our Supervisory Ministry, our respected Religious Leaders, Traditional Leaders *Stakeholders, Transport Unions, Partners, Sister Agencies, Media, KASTLEA Brand Ambassadors, Gallant Officers and Marshals of KASTLEA, motorists, all road users and fellow citizens of Kaduna State.
I warmly welcome you all to the year 2026 with a deep sense of gratitude to Almighty God for sparing our lives and granting us the grace to witness another year. The New Year offers us a fresh opportunity to reflect, renew our commitment, and strengthen our resolve to making Kaduna State safer and more orderly for all road users.
First and foremost, I wish to express the profound appreciation of the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Authority to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Sen. Dr. Uba Sani CON for his visionary leadership, unwavering support, and firm commitment to Traffic Management, Public Safety, and Institutional Reforms.which have enabled KASTLEA to carry out its mandate effectively.
I sincerely commend the Management and Staff of KASTLEA, particularly our Hardworking Marshals who, day and night, rain or shine, remain on our roads enforcing traffic laws and saving lives. Your Discipline, Resilience, and Sacrifice continue to be the backbone of this Authority. I am proud of your Dedication and Professionalism.
To our Transport Unions, we appreciate your Collaboration, Understanding, and Growing Commitment to Compliance with Traffic Regulations. Your Cooperation is vital to achieving Safer Roads and a more efficient transport system in Kaduna State. I also extend our gratitude to our Partners, Stakeholders, Traditional Institutions, Religious Bodies, Community Leaders, the Media, KASTLEA Brand Ambassadors, all road users and motorists for their support, feedback, and patience as we work collectively to improve Traffic Management and Safety.
We acknowledge with respect the Invaluable Cooperation of our Sister Agencies, the Nigeria Army, Nigeria Police Force, DSS, FRSC, NSCDC, NDLEA NCS, NIS, KADVS, Fire Service, Emergency Management Agencies, and all other security and regulatory bodies. Inter-agency synergy remains key to effective traffic control and emergency response, and we look forward to strengthening this collaboration in 2026.
As we celebrate a new beginning, we must also pause to remember and honour our fallen Heroes, KASTLEA Marshals who lost their lives in the line of duty in the past years. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten. We pray that Almighty God grants eternal rest to their souls and comfort to their families. Their courage continues to inspire us to serve with integrity, caution, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Looking ahead to 2026, KASTLEA is committed to consolidating past Gains, Challenges and Introducing Strategic Initiatives aimed at enhancing Traffic Safety and Efficiency across Kaduna State. Our key focus areas for the year include: Strengthening Traffic Enforcement through Improved Deployment, Professionalism, and adherence to the Rule of Law. Capacity Building and Trainings for Marshals to enhance Skills in Traffic Control, Public Engagement, and Emergency Response. Expansion of Public Enlightenment and Sensitization Programmes, targeting Motorists, Commercial Drivers, Schools, and Communities on Traffic Safety Measures and Responsible Driving. Improved collaboration with Transport Unions and Stakeholders to reduce Traffic Violations and Road Crashes. Adoption of Technology and Data-driven Approaches for Traffic Monitoring, Enforcement, and Planning. Enhanced Welfare and Safety Measures for KASTLEA Marshals, recognizing that a motivated workforce delivers better service. Support for the Kaduna State Government’s urban development and transport policies, aimed at reducing congestion and improving mobility.In the year 2026, we call on all road users to obey traffic laws, exercise patience, and show mutual respect on our roads. Traffic safety is a shared responsibility, and together we can significantly reduce accidents, save lives, and promote a culture of orderliness. On behalf of the Management and Staff of KASTLEA, I wish the Government and good people of Kaduna State a peaceful, prosperous, and accident-free New Year. May 2026 bring renewed hope, greater achievements, and safer roads for us all.
